We are excited that the Giving Machine will be returning to Southcentre Mall for the Christmas season. The Giving Machine is an easy way to introduce friends to some of the charitable work that the Church does to help ease the burdens of the heavy laden in various parts of the world including right here in Calgary. They were a huge success last year and we are hoping to improve upon that success this year.

The West Stake is responsible for staffing the Giving Machine with volunteers on Mondays from December 9 to December 23, inclusive.  We anticipate that about 30 members of our stake will be needed to fulfil our commitment.  The West Stake volunteer efforts will be coordinated by Doug Sherwood.

As a volunteer your responsibilities will include:

• Be cheerful and friendly
• Willingly engage with people to talk about the purpose and impact of the Giving Machines
• Help people use the machine, when required
• Have the physical ability to be actively engaged with the public throughout your shift (2-3 hours)
