In addition to our upcoming stake conference on Oct 25-26, we have been invited to a special meeting on November 9, 2025.

Elder Vern P. Stanfill of the Seventy and President of the Canada Area will preside and will be accompanied by Elder Robert M. Chaggares of the Seventy. We are excited to announce that a new Stake will be created at the meeting.

As President Russell M. Nelson said in 2024: “My dear brothers and sisters, do you see what is happening right before our eyes? I pray that we will not miss the majesty of this moment! The Lord is indeed hastening His work.”

As the creation of this new stake will impact our stake and others, members from the Calgary North Stake, the Calgary Bow River Stake, the Calgary Confederation Park Stake, the Calgary West Stake, and the Red Deer Alberta Stake have all been invited to attend a special meeting on Sunday, November 9th at 10:00 a.m. This meeting will be broadcast to the West Stake Centre, Cochrane, Royal Oak, and Banff buildings.

We ask that each member of the stake make a special effort to participate in the broadcast and to invite those they minister to, active and less active, to attend so they can feel the Spirit at this special meeting.

All other ward sacrament meetings planned for Sunday, November 9, 2025 in the Calgary West Stake will be cancelled.

Ahead of the creation of a new stake, we invite you to pray for Elder Stanfill and Elder Chaggares as they come to find the new stake president and invite you to pray for the new stake presidency as they undertake the monumental task of staffing a new stake. We invite you to prepare in every way to sustain these changes not only with the uplifted hand, but with hearts, and hands, and feet that will put into action the will of the Lord. The work of the Lord is hastening, and you are not only a witness to it, but you are a big part of bringing it to pass.

We love you and thank you for your faithfulness.

Sincerely,

Kindal Robertson
